Acre was the perfect setting for a romance far Cabo wedding
The setting for this Cabo wedding was a modern, contemporary farm off the beaten path. Acre Baja is a favorite location of mine, providing so many inviting photo opportunities combined with incredible textures, colors and backgrounds. The Los Cabos wedding of Becca and Matt was so fun. They were surrounded by family and friends and their tropical-styled wedding was stunning. Such a fun day to capture. We are so fortunate to be able to work alongside such an amazing collection of local wedding vendors and most importantly, working for such incredible couples.
Becca sent me this after their wedding day and I wanted to share it with you.
“Cabo was a no-brainer for Matt and I as far as location. We live in Dallas and were unable to find a venue that excited us like Cabo did/does. I had been on a recent vacation there without Matt, and the whole time I just kept thinking how romantic it was and how much I wish he was there with me, so when my parents mentioned CSL as a possible wedding destination, then the real planning began.
First things first, I knew I needed a planner. No way could I do everything from the States. I chose Vari Avila of Allure Event. A lot of the wedding planners I found online seemed really over the top style-wise, and I was really looking for more of a simple elegance for the ceremony & reception. Vari’s look was perfect! I really needed a lot of guidance, as I had only ever been part of one wedding, aside from being a guest. So other than Pinterest, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted at all. We got the ball rolling with venues; I knew I didn’t want anything on the beach, but something very different. We chose Acre Baja, a beautiful restaurant/event space in San Jose del Cabo. There are no words to describe the beauty of Acre! It hardly needed any additional decor than what is just naturally on the grounds. We also got to spend the night in one of their AMAZING tree houses after the wedding and mosey down to brunch when we woke up.
I knew I wanted to go with Sara Richardson as my photographer, along with her husband Ramon. I barely looked at any other options, I just loved her work. They did such an amazing job, as you can see from the photos. I wish they had been there for when we jumped in the pool at the end of the wedding!
We had 56 guests, and that was a perfect number. The transportation from various hotels to the venue was perfectly planned by Vari. DJ Alex was awesome and the dance floor had started while the sun was still out. I loved how he played songs from our playlist, but also improvised on a few songs too, since he knows how to read the crowd. We were beyond happy with everything, and I could write about it for days…”
Aw, Becca & Matt it was such a delight to work with you both. -Sara
